Wirral Egg Run 2009

Below are a few photo's from this years Wirral Egg Run which took place on Sunday. It is an annual event raising money for local children’s charities and donating Easter eggs to hospitalised children.

This year saw one of the highest turnouts with thousands of motorcyclists making the ride from New Brighton to Clatterbridge hospital.

My father in law regularly joins the riders and I hope to take part one year. I think my son was a bit wary and confused by the event.

HTC Touch HD

I recently changed my contract phone to the HTC Touch HD (which is like an iPhone on steroids). It's a fantastic phone and I'm still getting used to using it as there's so many functions. It's great for using to display a slideshow of my portfolio.
The built in camera isn't brilliant, it's 5mp and has no flash which for me I'm happy with as I prefer natural light photography and only use the phone as a camera if I haven't got another available.

Louise & Jeremy

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Stevens who were married today at Liverpool Town Hall. It was my first shoot at the Town Hall and although a bit limited on time we still managed to get some wonderful shots.

It was a beautiful wedding with plenty of tears, laughter and fun.

My aim as a wedding photographer is to try and capture the day as it unfolds with as little interruption and direction from me as possible other than a few posed shots for creative purposes.

The North West Professional Photographers

On Monday evening I attended the third meet of The North West Professional Photographers group. This is a group of NW photographers striving to work together by sharing skills and expertise. I'm proud to be a member of this group as by working together not only are we improving our skills but it'll help us provide our clients with a better service.
At this meet a couple of lighting sets and models were available. Here's a few of images I took of Alex who is the daughter of one of our key group members.

Victoria & Simon

Today I drove to the Wild Boar Hotel in Beeston to do Victoria & Simon's pre-wedding shoot. It was a beautiful day although a bit windy and I really enjoyed the drive out.
It was great to meet up with them again as I shot Victoria's sisters wedding last year (Kathryn & Gareth).
The venue is beautiful in a great location with Beeston Castle in the background.
